Salena Quintanilla was born on April 16, 1971, in Lake Jackson Texas. Her music abilities were noticed by her mother when she was just six years old. she was introduced to the music world very soon.
As her popularity as a musician grew, her singing performance and travel schedule began to interfere with her education. Because of her music career, her father took her out of school which made her teacher Marilyn Greer disappointed. later she earned a high school diploma from the American school of correspondence in Chicago.
Besides music in 1994 Selena began designing and manufacturing a line of clothing. she opened two boutiques call Selena ETC. Both Boutiques contain in-house beauty salons. by the end of 1994, Selena Etc, had held two fashion shows to showcase their clothing line.
Billboard magazine named her the greatest female Latin artist of all time. While her posthumous collaboration with MAC cosmetics become their best-selling celebrity collection.
Selena released Entre a Mi Mundo (1992). Which peaked at number one on the US billboard regional Mexican album chart for eight consecutive months.
